sometimes taking pictures in shadow can result in a blue-ish picture because of the change in the color-temperature of the light.

by curving the blue channel down, you can make the picture warmer. just make sure not to make it too yellow.

when you make the image warmer overall, it may appear to brighten. to avoid over-brightening the shadows, try pinning it down (A), and "adding yellow" only to the midtones and highlights (B).

finally, add some contrast by applying an s-curve. keep an eye on your highlights (A) and avoid blowing them out if possible.
